The 15th century chapel, St Olof’s, is the centerpiece of the hotel’s meetings and events facilities. The NH Collection Amsterdan Barbizon Palace's Conference Center is a multifunctional space and events can be custom-tailored to the most diverse purposes. Each event has a dedicated staff member for the entire duration, from inception through clean-up . ISDN lines, wireless Internet, and meeting kits with office supplies are available in all rooms. The hotel audio-visual department furnishes projectors, screens, video, lightning and sound equipment. A stage or even dance floor can be arranged.
The hotel is perfect, great staff, great rooms lovely breakfast. Good nights sleep tops it off and I would highly recommend this hotel. Its location is perfect for arriving by train across the square from train station. Then a great from where you can explore Amsterdam.
My deluxe room had the best views of the Central Station and the canal. The location is fantastic, with Dam Square and the Oude Kerk an easy walk. Plenty of restaurants in the area. The room was spotless and very comfortable (but beware if stairs are a problem, as there is a short flight from a landing down to the bedroom). Also be aware that if you are on a lower floor facing the canal, it gets really noisy at night. Unfortunately I didn't find the earplugs in the bedside table until the last morning. The staff are fantastic. The welcome champagne is a nice touch!
